Hyun Kyu Choi, L.A.c was appointed professor of the Korean Military Academy for over ten years. He was assigned educating, training, and inspiring young Korean students to provide the nation with leaders of character who serve the common defense. He was also a professor at the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine and has delivered major lectures in University.
Hyun Kyu Choi, L.A.c is second generation Integrative Medicine practitioner and his two sons also practice as third generation practitioners. He is the founder of Myungmun Research Group. He has developed Myungmun acupuncture method which is the combination of traditional acupuncture and magnetic acupuncture. This method has shown many successful treatments on chronic and acute diseases.
With over thirty years of experience and patient care, he is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including U.S. President's Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition (PCSFN) Awards in 1997, 2007, and 2014 (the award given to a civilian by the President of the United States), USA LAPD Chief Letter of Commendation Award in 2002, World Taekwondo Federation President Letter of Commendation in 2003, Korean Military Academy
Commander Award in 1998, Korean Acupuncture Association Letter of Commendation in 2000, and Police Department Chief of Si-Heung City Letter of Commendation in 2002.
Hyun Kyu Choi, L.A.c is a member of the World Acupuncture Association, Korean Acupuncture Association, Koryo Hand Acupuncture Therapy, Chim Korea Acupuncture, Academy of Orthodox Pulse Diagnosis, International Medical Volunteers, and Dong-yang Oriental Medical Herb Institute. He has written as a journalist of Integrative Medicine for the Korean newspapers and Martial Art magazine.
